Bad breath or halitosis is a common problem that is faced by thousands of people worldwide. Bad breath is the term used for describing bad smell coming out of our mouth. The causes of bad breath are many and varied. Poor mouth hygiene, such as infrequent brushing or flossing of teeth are the most common cause of unpleasant smell in your mouth. Some diseases such as acute kidney failure, bronchitis and diabetes also may be linked to bad breath.

You need to understand the causes of halitosis in order for you to cure your bad breath problem or reduce the awful smell. But, often, bad breath treatment can be easy and uncomplicated. Bad breath can be sweetened with consistent toothbrushing, using mint or parsley, and drink about six to eight glasses of water per day. If toothbrushing or flossing of teeth are not working you can try a few other strategies suggested by dentists and physicians.
